Seems like a late start this season – but we were able to get out today and strap on the snow shoes for some off-trail exploring.
The amount of open water on the lesser streams surprised me
The slope was steep ice and snow covered rock
The landscape was rather monochromatic – Light snow and fog.
Except where there was a dog involved
