This past memorial day weekend provided us two fine hikes. On Saturday we hiked up the new logging road along Big Brook to it’s end then bushwhacked up old skid trails into the forested hills to the west of the Moats.

On Sunday we hiked the Olivarian brook trail up to Passaconaway Cut-Off then to Square ledge. The views were there, but a little disappointing. Not quite what I expected. The trail runs along the very edge of the cliff – which had us with Murphy on a line for his safety. The hiking terrain was quite nice and the trails were in great shape. It was breezy and 73. Perfect outing and we ended up doing 8.5 miles.

I managed to leave my DSLR at home on the Big Brook trip, so all I shot with was my trusty GoPro. If you are hungry for more shots of leaves, Golden Retrievers and Trees then here you go,
