Heading Home

Well, it wasn’t raining – but we missed out on the views from stairs mountain and Mt. Isolation.

It was a nice fall hike none the less – and at around ten miles, an good healthy fall walk about in some beautiful wilderness (dry river wilderness)

Paddle

First time we did this here – across the small pond, down middle but could not portage to the large one – Nice day for it – with the fog that has been on us all day, it was the activity of choice.

Never Fade Away

0

This is what I do when I get here…

This one was just under 2,500 frames (going to wear out that shutter!) shot over a three and a half hour period.

Getting there – but always forgetting something – Frustrating to shoot 2500 frames bad –

but still worth a watch… Do the full screen, and the audio is a part of the show…

Climb – Live Longer

Climbing, and an outdoors lifestyle can lead to a long life lived fully.

What will you be doing when you are 90?

Way to go Fred.

To the bathtub (once more)

Lot's to contemplate out here

Back to a favorite spot for a quick hike and some strobist fun…

I brought a strobe with me – (I was watching David Hobby’s video’s on Lynda last night) it turned out to be the key to a couple of shots. Next time I will bring three, and light stands, and some umbrella’s and….. maybe not. But packing at least one – not a bad idea.

This morning before we left, I took this shot of boris, our resident spider. He is getting big. Must be good eats for spiders as well as people at Mittenstock.

One more week then, a ghost town till snow.

But she settled down for this shot

Our destination today is a perineal favorite. I can say truly now, I have lost count of how many times we have done this gem.

Plan is to run up the west, then down the east, stop at east ledges for a quick climb then back to mittendom.

Stay tuned for pictures….

Good day.
Sun came out – Lovely hike to a climb. WINDY as it can get while climbing – but fun was had by all –
Got to play guide to three beautiful ladies – Once again, does not get much better than this…

Late Summer Friday Fun Day

Morning moonset

A day of back country hike and climb adventures.

Morning dawned clear and warm. The full moon was just setting as the morning sun was on the big C. Pictures don’t do it justice, but I tried.

Our first choice for a climb was wet 🙁
It was a great hike none the less – cool boulders and forests bellow the cliffs.

We eventually found someplace so set up, rope up and climb for a while – then a couple errands and back to the mitten kingdom where another magical mitten meal was had.

All and all,

Just another day in paradise.

My Sunday

Was not so bad..

Quick hike up to the bathtub.

The weather was perfect – most of the goofers are gone.

THIS is Mitten Season….
